President Charles Dougherty announced at the February University's Board of Director's meeting that he will retire on June 30, 2016, when his current term ends. Business Plan Chosen for
National Competition

The largest patent licensing deal in Duquesne history brought Dr. Aleem Gangjee's portfolio of cancer-fighting compounds to a business venture, and now the transfer of this technology from the University to a startup has captured the attention of the Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM). Dr. Frank L. Sorgi, P'87, GP'90, MB'90, a member of Duquesne's Alumni Board of Governors, created one of only four business plans selected by AUTM as a finalist for its 2015 Venture Forum Business Plan Competition.

The Alumni Board of Governors is seeking nominations, by March 31, 2015 to fill vacancies as current terms expire. Members are required to serve on at least one committee, attend scheduled board and committee meetings, and maintain two-way communication between their constituents and the board. Out-of-area members may attend meetings via phone. The board meets three times a year as a group, with committee meetings varying in frequency.

Travel with Duquesne in 2015
The Office of International Programs is sponsoring an exciting European cruise for alumni, faculty, staff, and friends in 2015: European Hideaways Mediterranean Cruise (October 20-31, 2015). Sign up by March 12 to obtain discounted passage! Cabins in each price category are limited, so it's important not to delay.
