ACCOMMODATIONS - Where can I stay near campus?

Accommodations are available at several hotels in the downtown and surrounding areas.  The DUAA has negotiated special rates for Homecoming weekend but reservations must be made prior to September 9, 2013.  View the list of hotels.

ATTENDANCE - What if it’s not my reunion year…should I still attend Homecoming?

Absolutely!  Homecoming is open for all alumni and their families.  We have many events on the Bluff during the weekend to attend for all ages.

Can I see who else is attending?

Yes, from the Homecoming registration page choose the link called “Who’s Coming” to view the list.

ATTIRE - What should I wear for the weekend?

Attire for the weekend varies depending on the event.  Most events are casual.  The Friday Night President's Dinner and Century Club Induction is semi-formal.

BOOKSTORE - Where the campus bookstore and what are the hours for Homecoming?

The Barnes & Noble Bookstore has two locations:  a mini-store on the 2nd floor of the Student Union and the main store on Forbes Avenue.  Hours for Homecoming weekend are as follows:

8:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

CLASS GIFT - How can I contribute to my class gift?

Visit the “Make A Gift” page.  If you have any questions or would prefer to submit your gift by phone, please contact the Office of Annual Giving at 412.396.6040.

I’m making a gift and my company will match.  Does this count toward my class gift?

Both your gift and the company match will count toward your Reunion Class Gift total.  Use our company search engine to see if your company does matching gifts.

What is the Duquesne Society and how can I become a member?

The Duquesne Society recognizes those who donate over $1,000 per calendar year.  For more information on the Duquesne Society, contact Bernadette Krueger at 412.396.4936.

Will campus tours be available?

As part of Homecoming weekend, student-guided tours will be available on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. departing from the PNC Atrium of the Student Union. 

REGISTRATION - Do I need to register?  What is the deadline?

All attendees are asked to register online or by calling 412.396.6209 no later than October 1, 2013.  This deadline is a courtesy for us to allow catering and facilities to prepare all events adequately.

Will I receive a confirmation of my registration?

Yes, by providing an email address you will receive a message confirming all details of your registration.

What if I need to cancel all/part of my registration?

Contact the Office of Alumni Relations at 412.396.6209.  Any available refunds will be processed within 3-5 business days.

SPECIAL NEEDS - Are there facilities for those with disabilities or special needs?

Please contact the Office of Alumni Relations at or 412.396.6209 so we may ensure reasonable accommodations are provided.

Can I request special dietary needs?

Yes, we offer meal options for those with special dietary requirements.  Please contact the Office of Alumni Relations at or 412.396.6209 so we may notify catering in a timely manner.

TRANSPORTATION - Where can I park on campus?

The Forbes Avenue garage is open for all Homecoming weekend attendees.  Parking is available at the gate for $6.00 per day.  You can also purchase a weekend pass as part of your Homecoming registration for $15.
