Class of 2020 One of Largest, Most Diverse at Duquesne
The estimated enrollment of 1,550 freshmen in the Class of 2020 is the largest at Duquesne to date, following the incoming classes in 2013 (1,547) and 2012 (1,526). The new freshman class is also the most diverse in Duquesne’s history. Approximately 21 percent of the class has relatives who are Duquesne graduates, making them a University legacy.

New ‘Schubert on the Bluff’ Season to Include Works by Aaron Copland
Schubert on the Bluff returns to campus for season two with a focus on works by American composer Aaron Copland. The second of a three-year series led by pianist and artistic director David Allen Wehr, Schubert on the Bluff will feature four concerts comprised of music by both Copland and Franz Schubert.

Law Clinic Intervenes Early in School Discipline Process
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette featured Duquesne Law’s new Education Law Clinic in a front-page story, citing the program’s support for families and its role teaching student lawyers an underrepresented area of law. Professor Tiffany Sizemore-Thompson discusses how the clinic represents students and parents in school discipline and related cases.

The Office for Military and Veteran Students is seeking volunteers to share their stories for the Duquesne Veterans’ Oral History Project, developed in partnership with University Archives to record and preserve the stories of Duquesne’s Veteran students and alumni. The Century Club was established during Duquesne’s 100th anniversary in 1978 to recognize graduates with exemplary records of professional achievement and service to the University and their communities. Since 1878, only 330 alumni have been admitted to its elite ranks. The 2016 class of inductees includes Robert S. Barker, A'63, L'66, GA'74, Hon. Maureen P. Kelly, L'87 and Francis S. Marchilena, A'67.
