Duquesne Students, Staff Witness Historic Visit of Pope Francis
Thirty-five Duquesne University students, traveling with members of the Spiritan Campus Ministry staff, were among those who witnessed the historic visit of Pope Francis to the U.S. In addition, four Duquesne journalism and multimedia undergraduates covered the papal visit as part of a class with Mike Clark, adjunct instructor and WTAE-TV reporter. U.S. News Ranks Duquesne Among Best Colleges, Online Programs and Best Value Schools
For the eighth consecutive year, Duquesne has been ranked in the top tier of schools by U.S. News and World Report in its annual edition of the Best Colleges rankings. The University advanced one spot to No. 115- the highest in University history- in the newly released 2016 National Universities Rankings category.

Nobel Laureate Speaks at Duquesne Climate Change Conference
Dr. Richard Alley, a member of the Nobel Peace Prize-winning intergovernmental panel on climate change, recently spoke at Duquesne University's inaugural Presidential Conference on the Integrity of Creation. Commissioned by President Dr. Charles J. Dougherty, the conference celebrates the University's Spiritan mission and provides a scholarly forum for exploring a topic related to the Integrity of Creation.  Click here to read more.

Alumni Board of Governors Welcomes New Members
The Alumni Board of Governors is pleased to welcome four new members: Mary Susan Tack-Yurek, A’00, Ann Hohn, A’83, Jeremy Hartzell B’97, MB’00, L’00, and Sarah Kielar E’07, ME’14. These members will serve 3-year terms as advocates for Duquesne alumni on communication, programming, scholarship, volunteer engagement and governance committees. The Century Club was established during Duquesne’s 100th anniversary in 1978 to recognize graduates with exemplary records of professional achievement and service to the University and their communities. Since 1878, only 327 alumni have been admitted to its elite ranks. The 2015 class of inductees includes The Honorable Max Baer, L'75, Lois A. McGovern, N'68, Gilbert Zilner, P'60, and Joan Zilner, P'60. Click here to read more.

Homecoming School Events During Homecoming Weekend (Oct. 9-11)

Each school will host an alumni event during Homecoming weekend.  Don't miss your chance to network with alumni from your program and hear about the latest news and accomplishments from your school.  Pre-registration is now closed, but walk-in registration will be available at the events.

Each year, the Church dedicates the month of November to the remembrance of our beloved who have passed on. Deceased Duquesne University alumni, family and friends of alumni will be remembered at the annual University Thanksgiving liturgy (Thursday, Nov. 19, at Noon) in the University Chapel. If you wish to have your deceased loved ones included in our Book of Life, please provide their names by Oct. 29. The full list will be available online November 1.
