Duquesne to Recognize McGinley for Philanthropy
Duquesne will present John R. McGinley, Jr., L'68, with the Spiritus Award at its President's Scholarship Dinner on Thursday, April 21, at the Omni William Penn Hotel. McGinley is the second recipient of the annual Spiritus Award, which recognizes individuals, couples and organizations for exceptional philanthropic service to Duquesne University and its students.

U.S. News Ranks Five Duquesne Graduate Programs in Nation’s Top 50

Graduate programs within the Mylan School of Pharmacy, School of Law, and Rangos School of Health Sciences were ranked among the top 50 in the nation according to the U.S. News & World Report's 2017 Best Graduate Schools.

Outstanding Educators to be Honored at Celebration of Teaching Excellence

On April 7, Provost Dr. Timothy Austin will confer the Creative Teaching Award at the Celebration of Teaching Excellence. Faculty recipients have both implemented innovative teaching methods and demonstrated the deep impact these methods have on student learning. Both of the 2016 award-winning projects also feature engagement with community partners.

Former Director of the National Security Agency and Central Intelligence Agency, General Michael V. Hayden, A'67, GA'69 recently authored Playing to the Edge: American Intelligence in the Age of Terror, a book chronicling America’s responses to new forms of terrorism, a major war and drastic technological advances in intelligence. Hayden recently returned to Duquesne to take part in a speaking forum.
