KidsZone is a collection of fun activities for your kids to enjoy while attending Duquesne University’s Homecoming 2015! Most of the festivities will take place on Mellon Lawn, just off of Academic Walk. All KidsZone activities and entertainment take place on Saturday, October 10 and are free of charge – a smile and a ready-for-fun attitude are all the kids need to enjoy the day! NEW THIS YEAR: Story Time in the Library – iSpy Campus Tour – Caricature Artist – Stilt Walker – Self-Play Area – Pittsburgh Pierogies – Inflatable Games and much more! CAMPUS TOURS – PNC Atrium - 9:00am-12:00pm iSpy Game Throughout Campus As you enjoy the stroll around campus taking in the sights and learning about the history and future of Duquesne, your kids will be engaged in a game of iSpy. The kids will have to keep an eye out during the walk around campus to identify and document the hidden items at each of the stopping points on the tour. Kids who complete the game of iSpy can pick up a prize at KidsZone! MELLON LAWN - 11am-2pm Professional Caricature Artist Balloon Artist Professional Face Painter Juggling Stilt Walker Make-Your-Own-Play-Doh Kids Carnival Games Play Area with Legos and Blocks GUMBERG LIBRARY – 5th Floor – times TBD Story Time and Coloring Bring your kids to the 5th floor of the library at one of two designated times to enjoy an entertaining and exciting story told by some of the School of Education students! Coloring supplies will also be at the children’s disposal. ACADEMIC WALK Mascot Meet & Greet featuring the Duquesne Duke and Pittsburgh Pierogies Say hello and snap a photo with the Duquesne Duke and Pittsburgh Pierogies, Potato Pete and Sauerkraut Saul! If you stick around long enough, you may get a chance to see a mascot dance-off. Autumnfest - 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Visit craft and game booths, sponsored by current student organizations.
