Mind, Heart and Spirit Awards 2013

Each year a select number of Duquesne alumni who exemplify the Mission of the University in their daily lives are recognized through the Mind, Heart and Spirit Awards.  These achievements are not only accomplished through career successes but also through
community service and service to others.

Please join the Young Alumni Council in honoring three distinguished young alumni who continue to live their lives according the
mission of Duquesne University:

Ashlee Mae Beckett, E’05

Ryan Phillip Sayers, JD’12

Adam Wasilko, S’08, MS’10

Saturday, November 2, 2013
6:00 p.m.
William Patrick Power Center Ballroom

The awards presentation will be followed by a
celebration with food and drinks.  All are welcome to attend.

Tickets are $25 per person.

Kindly RSVP by October 25

Ashlee Mae Beckett, E'05
6th Grade Teacher, Mt. Lebanon School District

Ashlee’s efforts to develop an International Club and International Night fundraiser to benefit two Catholic-run orphanages in Columbia and Haiti were only a part of the reason that family friend Richard Spear nominated her.

Ryan Phillip Sayers, JD’12

Associate, Naddeo & Lewis, LLC

Ryan’s involvement with the Boy Scouts of America convinced friend Katherine Bacher to nominate him.  Through top leadership positions, Ryan has a substantial impact on the moral and spiritual growth of our future generations and helps young men become better citizens and ultimately, leaders.

Adam Wasilko, S'08 MS'10
Resident Director, Duquesne University

Annie Mullarkey Sawa lauds Adams’s efforts to connect with his residents who struggle to live the Mission and make good life decisions. She says there is no one more willing to invest their time and talents in nurturing their students during their time of need.
